Thurston Spicer

Thurston has a diverse and versatile journey that led him to ReUp Education. He served in the military for six years and attended Tennessee State University earning a degree in Africana Studies. With this degree and experience, Thurston was able to forge relationships with community leaders and helped create programs that focused on higher education.

He knows firsthand the challenges people encounter while earning their degree. From that experience, he landed an opportunity at Portland State that helped veterans return to school to achieve their goals before, during and after serving in the military. In this role, Thurston honed his skills in helping students achieve their dreams and while overcoming obstacles. Thurston has always been a champion of diversity, inclusion and personal development and he is excited to continue to do that in his new role as a Success Coach.

Thurston is a father, veteran, a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., and an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.
