Kristin Searcy

Director, Learner Services

Kristin is a firm believer in coaching and how it can empower people to achieve their goals and fulfill their potential. As a first generation college student, she understands the challenges students can face in school yet how impactful the power of education can be to transform people’s lives. Kristin always knew she wanted to be a positive presence in other’s lives; so many teachers, mentors and advisors impacted her educational path and she wanted to be able to do that for other students. Almost 5 years ago she was lucky enough to find her calling and passion as a success coach in higher education. Prior to working as a coach, Kristin held a multitude of different roles in the educational sphere, most notably serving as a school counselor for over 3 years. Although she learned much from her previous experiences, becoming a coach truly transformed her life and she is driven to continue to support students in achieving their dreams in whatever capacity she is able to.

Kristin is originally from Upstate New York but has lived in Nashville, TN for over 10 years along with her husband and daughter Charlie. She feels lucky to be able to take advantage of all the amazing things Nashville has to offer (music, food, sports, etc.), but most of all enjoys spending time with family and friends. Kristin has her B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Dartmouth College and her M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University.
