Joanna Costello

Joanna is passionate about using data to improve access and equity in higher education. Prior to joining ReUp Education, Joanna developed and led the research agenda for City Colleges of Chicago, working on research projects on topics like remedial education and early college programs. Prior to City Colleges, Joanna worked in higher education consulting, and also has experience in philanthropy and criminal justice. Joanna holds a BA and Mathematics and Economics from Williams College and Masters in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.

Joanna lives in Chicago, where she is a volunteer and Associate Board member for Back on my Feet, a nonprofit that addresses homelessness through running, community, and essential support services. In her free time she enjoys taking advantage of the lakefront and museums in Chicago.
