Jessica is new to the education field. She brings over 15 years of experience working to help people find their voice and convey their choice in the behavioral health industry. She has also worked as a Disability Employment Specialist. As a first-generation college student who grew up in Seattle Washington, she understands that education and degree completion can be a life-changing experience.
Jessica completed her AA degree in Psychology at Green River College and holds certificates in Women's Studies as well as Minority Studies. Having completed a degree while parenting young children, and having stopped and restarted post-secondary education, she also understands and has personally navigated the challenges, pitfalls, and successes of the journey. She is also an active advocate of resources and supports that make college equitably obtainable to all regarding finances or background.
Jessica is the mother of two second-generation college attendants and the proud grandmother of two future learners. When not in Seattle spoiling her grandchildren she can be found somewhere in her new hometown of Tucson, Arizona enjoying one of her many hobbies. Jessica is an avid reader, skilled writer, photographer, and Monsoon adventurer and enjoys hiking and traveling, and exploring new places.
