Amity Bacon

Amity brings over a decade of writing and content marketing experience to ReUp, having developed content in non-profit, education, and tech spaces. She loves bringing ideas to life whether through blogs, articles, data-driven reports or other digestible formats, and is driven to tell meaningful stories that connect and educate people well. With a deep appreciation for educators and the better life outcomes that higher education provides, she feels fortunate to support learners and higher ed institutions through writing.

Amity is a proud UC Santa Cruz banana slug, having majored in Community Studies with a minor in Journalism. Out of college, she worked as an assistant editor for a daily newspaper before earning an MA in Journalism at the University of Westminster in London.

As a former Californian now living in Oregon, she is thrilled to take in all the scenic beauty and is slowly becoming a tree nerd. When she isn’t out exploring with her partner and their collie, Oliver, she enjoys reading and writing short stories, online book seminars, and taking on challenging cooking projects.
