John Reyes, Jr.

John is a Southern California boy, having lived in sunny Southern California all of his life. He recently completed his collegiate education at Brandman University—earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Certificate in Public and Nonprofit Leadership and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership during his tenure there. His journey in Higher Education began over 11 years ago, having the honor of working exclusively with Active Duty and Veteran service members. Through his career in Higher Education, John has gained valuable experience in Admissions, Academic Advising, Accounts Receivable and Financial Aid, and Leadership. In his previous position, he help developed team members in educating students on financial aid and military benefits.

Although he enjoys leading employees and helping them develop, his true passion is connecting with students as they restart their educational journey. He finds it rewarding when a student is able to overcome an educational challenge they fear, no matter how big or small, and being able to share the emotional experience with a student. John is excited to continue his career with ReUp Education, to expand his knowledge and skill, and to make a difference for the organization and in the lives of students.

In his free time outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children—Anthony (4) and Riley (3)—as well as their cat and dog. John is a sports fanatic who loves to attend Rams, Angels and Lakers games when he has an opportunity to, and will talk sports with anyone.
