Christy Spencer

Christy has extensive experience in K12 and higher education, serving as an instructor, coach, advisor, and administrator. She is also a Certified Career Coach and enjoys working with students in any capacity. As a first-generation college student who grew up in rural Virginia, she understands the value of education. She is an advocate for providing equitable access to quality education for all. 

Christy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Education from Virginia Tech. From real estate to behavior analysis to home renovations, and whether it be through a college class, online certification, or self-study, Christy loves to learn new skills! She hopes to help students become just as excited about their education!

Christy resides in Virginia with her husband, three children, and many pets on their small hobby farm. She is active in her community and finds "home" to be one of her favorite places. She does, however, love the beach and has a particular spot on the coast of North Carolina that she considers to be her second home.
