Financial Aid – Complete FAFSA:
Everyone should fill out a FAFSA form: https://fafsa.ed.gov (School code – 003318).
Ensure that you are being considered for state grants, as well, by going to http://www.pheaa.org and click “Apply/Renew Now.”
Confirm that you have Clarion listed for your Entrance Counseling, and a completed Master Promissory Note at www.studentloans.gov.
If you’re taking summer courses, please complete the PA Summer State Grant, by the deadline.
Also, if you’re taking summer courses, please be sure to ask about the impact of your Financial Aid for that academic year.
By accessing your MyClarion account, you can select the courses you wish to take for your upcoming term. Remember to consult your advisor if you have questions about course selection.
BE AWARE OF ADD/DROP DEADLINES
As you begin your term, you will have only a few days to “Drop” or “Add” a course to your schedule. If you feel this is something you might need to consider, please contact your Readmission Coordinator immediately.
WAIT FOR YOUR FINANCIAL AID TO PROCESS
For a 15-week course, Student Financial Services will be processing disbursements no earlier than the 14th day of your current term. Students enrolled in other terms, or with questions, should contact your Readmission Coordinator directly.
How long does it take for my Application for Readmission to be approved?
Once you submit your Application for Readmission, it can take up to 48 hours for the Registrar’s Office to process. You will be notified via your Clarion Eagle Mail account of your approval to readmit to Clarion. The email you receive will outline instructions for getting connected to your MyClarion and provide you contact information to valuable resources at Clarion.
Do I need to complete a Change of Status Form?
If you want to change your degree program, you will need to complete a Change of Status Form. Also, if you are changing from a residential degree program to an online degree program, you will need to complete the Change of Status Form as well.
What other information should I send to the Registrar’s Office?
If you have transcripts from other institutions since taking a break from Clarion, you will need to send those to [email protected]
What classes do I need to take to finish my degree?
In order for Clarion to determine which courses you need to take to complete your degree, you will need to connect with your Advisor. Your Advisor will be able to review your completed coursework, overview your coursework that needs to be completed, and help you identify the best path to degree completion. If you are unsure of who your Advisor is, you can find them listed in your MyClarion account.
How do I register for classes?
To register for classes, you will need to access your MyClarion account. Find further information and step-by-step “how to” instructions on adding or dropping classes on the Clarion website.
If I’m not using Financial Aid, do I need to contact Clarion?
All students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA to see if they are eligible for scholarships or grants. If you are paying out-of-pocket for your courses you don’t have to contact Student Financial Services, however you may want to consider payment plan options. Payment option information, including payment plans (also called Tuition Management Systems), can be found on the Clarion website. What is Reup Education? What is a Readmission Coordinator?
Clarion has partnered with ReUp Education to provide an additional layer of service for all readmitting students. In addition to University faculty and staff, you have a ReUp Readmission Coordinator who will support you from readmission to graduation! Your Readmission Coordinator’s role is to ensure your questions are being answered, you are aware of administrative processes and policies, and that, ultimately, you begin courses and graduate on your desired timeline. You can also rely on your Clarion Readmission Coordinator to guide you to the resources you need for financial planning, connecting with a community of Clarion students who share your goals, and motivation and encouragement to complete your degree. You are not required to call or meet your Clarion Readmission Coordinator on a recurring basis, but you will want to connect at least once during the readmission process.
